My Favorite Facial Care Products

My favorite facial skin care line right now is definitely Aveeno Positively Radiant! I have the entire facial line including the Brightening Cleanser, Skin Brightening Daily Scrub, and the Daily Moisturizer.

I first discovered the Aveeno Positively Radiant: Brightening Cleanser from Brosia’s blog [HERE]. Brosia recommended the Aveeno Positively Radiant: Brightening Cleanser because it removes eye makeup really well; which was a problem that I definitely had before using this cleanser.

It just so happened that the Brightening Cleanser that I picked up at CVS also included a sample size of the Daily Moisturizing Lotion; and after using those two products together for about a week I began to notice an amazing difference in my complexion! Those results encouraged me to get the Skin Brightening Daily Scrub as well and I’ve been using them ever since! I love that they cleanses and exfoliate my face without drying my skin out and they enhance the natural glow of the skin.

Bring the Sea in Your Shower

A few weeks ago, I began using a Sea Sponge to wash my body and I must say this was a life changing experience!

I could never really get with using loofah sponges because I had a bad experience with them ripping out my body piercings, so I’ve been pretty restricted to using wash clothes. When I spotted the Sea Sponge, I was like “let’s give this a try, what’s the worst that could happen?!” and I am so glad I did!
When I first used my Honeycomb Sea Sponge, I loved the way the small cavities and slightly textured surface exfoliated my skin & how much moisture it retained. After using it a few times, I thought to myself “there has to be benefits to washing with a Sea Sponge…”, so of course I headed to do some research. What I found made me love my Sea Sponge even more…
Sea Sponges are:
✣ an eco-friendly renewable resource, so they “go green”!
✣ highly absorbent & produce a rich lather, so a little soap goes a long way!
✣ more durable & resistant to abrasion, so it’ll last a long time!
✣ self cleaning and fight the growth of mold, mildew & bacteria, so you’re always fresh!
✣ hypoallergenic & toxin-free, so its great for sensitive skin!
Incredible, right?! Those are just a few of the benefits of Sea Sponges, if you want to read the full article I found check it out HERE. I’m so happy to bring the sea into my shower!

E.L.F Haul & Organizing My Makeup Collection

I received my first pretty large order from EyesLipsFace [E.L.F] and I’m excited to add everything to my makeup collection! I also purchased a makeup organizer from Target to put things in order because my previous system was horrible!

You can check out the video of the haul on my YouTube Channel [PiecesOfJojo] and/or check below to see each of the products that I received and how my make makeup collection transformed…

Here is what my makeup looked like originally. Quite unorganized, hard to find things, and just simply a mess.

So with all the new products I received, it was time for me to get better organized. Below is a shot of  my entire order and it all cost under $30! I’m telling you, E.L.F. is so affordable!
For everything [$28.50] + shipping

Let me break down the order because I know you don’t believe me…
Tone Correcting Concealer in Spice/Medium [$1]
Shine Erasers [$1 /each]

Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter [$3]

Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Guava [$3]

Theraputic Conditioning Balm [$1]
Brush Shampoo [$3]

Mineral Infused Face Primer [$6]
Daily Brush Cleaner [$3 /each]
83 Pieces Essential Makeup Collection [$35 $3.50]

83 Pieces Essential Makeup Collection [$35 $3.50]

All comes to a grant total of $28.50. Amazing, right?! And I neatly organized everything into a Makeup Organizer [$18] that I picked up from Target.
I love the organization and it saves me so much time in the morning because now I don’t have to dig through a mess and can easily pick out exactly what I need!

mmMm…I Got a Zum Bar!

Guess what I got while grocery shopping yesterday?! A Zum Bar!

Zum Bar by Indigo Wild [$3.99]

Zum Bars are an all natural “ultra-mositurizing” soap, made with a goat’s milk base, and are free of synthetic colorings and fragrances. Which mean’s they’re great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin! Personally, I am big on all natural products and products that aren’t harass on the skin, so when I saw the Zum Bars and their natural ingredient lists, I was sold…

If I wasn’t an avid Clumps of Mascara reader, I would have passed this delicious smelling bar of soap right by;  but luckily I am! She posted about the Dragon’s Blood Zum Bar a few weeks ago [HERE] and when I read the post, well more so when I saw the pictures, I immediately wanted to try some! And yesterday, while I was in Harris Teeter, I spotted a variety of them…

I wasn’t quite sure which to pick out of the Lavender Mint, Sea Salt, Frankincense & Myrrh, and Sandalwood Zum Bars, but I decided to go with Lavender Mint. The Frankincense & Myrrh smelled really nice too, I’ll hopefully try that next!

If you’d like to try one out and don’t have a Harris Teeter near you, you can purchase them online from Soap Hope.
I am really excited to try my Zum Bar out! As a matter of fact, I am hoping in the shower now…I’ll be back later with a review! I’m sure it’ll be filled with nothing but great things!
